Kirsten founded 1for2 Social Innovation in 2000, after years of experience in leadership environments where she kept seeing the same pattern: technical competence was rarely the bottleneck. It was always about people. Communication, trust, the willingness to speak up, and the ability to truly listen.

She is a certified profiler and trained in kinesic interviewing, which means she reads behavior, not just words. In 25 years she has applied that skill in boardrooms, mediation conversations, whistleblower cases and crisis situations: environments where what is not said matters as much as what is said.

She is an accredited international mediator, registered confidential counselor and Insights Discovery practitioner. Her work covers organizational integrity, behavior analysis, executive coaching and crisis navigation.

Kirsten grew up in part in Curaçao and attended secondary school there. That experience (embedded in a small island community, where professional and personal worlds are close together, trust is built in person, and social structure partly shapes how organizations function) continues to influence how she reads people, earns trust and understands what is really happening beneath the surface.
